Terms and Conditions of Service

Appointment will be subject to the appropriate national conditions of service as set out in the currently prevailing Local Authorities (Standing Orders) (England) Regulations and supplemented by Mole Valley District Council policies and procedures.


The salary for this role is up to £120,000 per annum.


The employer will be Mole Valley District Council.

Hours of Work

The basic hours for full time posts are 37 per week. Commensurate with the seniority of the role it is mutually recognised that flexibility will be required in both the pattern, and extent, of working hours, including attendance at weekend and evening meetings, in order to fulfil the requirements of the job.

Annual Leave

The annual leave entitlement is 33 days, plus one extra statutory day at Christmas.

Relocation Assistance

Discretionary relocation assistance associated with moving house may be available and can be discussed at advanced stages of the recruitment process.

Probation Period

New employees will be subject to satisfactory completion of a six month probation period.

Politically Restricted Posts

This post is "politically restricted" under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989. This means you must not be actively engaged in politics while employed by the Council.
